Class Description: This program is the nation’s leading exercise program for older adults. It improves overall fitness and encourages social interaction. The class is a low-impact, total body conditioning class in which students use hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers® ball. All tools come in various weights and strengths, so each participant works at his or her own rate, working out all the major and minor muscle groups. It addresses strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed, and power.
